The more weapons for Henne the better

The roster is starting to fill itself out as training camp is now fully underway. Miami added Reggie Bush, the electric RB/WR/KR/PR, and ILB Kevin Burnett. Two pretty high profile moves which should lead to an upgrade on both offense and defense. The Dolphins have also added a little depth at LB and NT.
Personally, I believe this defense, which was already ranked around top 10 in every category last year, is completely set. This Dolphins defense is 100% playoff ready, and it would be hard to debate otherwise. Not only are they talented, but they are also young. Therefore, if the Dolphins were to add another piece this offseason you would have to assume it would be on offense.
Tony Sparano has already indicated that the Dolphins are in the market for an offensive guard. However, I like some needy fans would prefer the Dolphins to go after a playmaker. Half the battle to getting your offensive line to work is making it gel. I think that although this offensive line struggled last year, it’s still a very talented unit. Shaun O’Hara, a veteran center formally of the Giants, has already been rumored to be visiting the Dolphins.
Most fans will tell you your team can only go as far as your offensive line and QB, therefore the addition of another lineman can’t hurt. However, the Dolphins are 100% locked in on Chad Henne. This team will only go as far as Henne will take them. Like the Jets, with Sanchez, all the Dolphins can do is put pieces around Henne to make his life easier.
So who do I suggest Miami bring in? Well Braylon Edwards, or Malcolm Floyd or even Randy Moss. I know Hartline is a promising WR, and had a successful year last year, but he is by no means an elite #2 WR. Brining in Edwards or Floyd to a low risk one or two year contract can only take away the attention Brandon Marshall warrants.
The fact is, if you line up Marshall, Edwards/Floyd across from each other it is much scarier than lining up Marshall and Hartline. Henne is far from being a top QB in this league, so if you want to be a playoff team you need to add more weapons for him to use.
So whether it’s one of the 3 big-time WR’s left or adding another RB or TE, please make Henne’s life easier and bring in another weapon.
