Phins Phocus gets a new blogger : @DolphinMick

Written by Daniel Eliesen on .

Due to the depression the Dolphins play, and my new venture into Bloguin’s newest project NFL blog Any Given Sunday, I haven’t been able to give Phins Phocus my undivided attention.  We pride ourselves here at Phins Phocus at giving you a unique look at the Phins. That being said like I said in my last post I expect to be more active blogging once or twice a week but recently we just signed a new blogger Michael Serrania or as some of you from twitter might know him @DolphinMick

Michael is a educated Dolphins fan like most of going through the lul’s of this season but wanted a chance to spread his voice and opinions on the phins to the public.

So give Mick a warm welcome to Phins Phocus, I am sure he is excited to inform you guys of all he has to offer.

Till later folks,

Daniel

What to think of the Dolphins ?

Written by Daniel Eliesen on .

Suck for Luck appears to be the only option in Miami right now

Sorry for the delay between articles, I have been writing for Any Given Sunday, bloguins feature NFL blog and it has been tough to write about the Phins these days. That being said we will make a greater effort to get more prime time articles out for you to read.

The morning after a brutal loss in front of a national audience against our bitter rivals leaves the Phins in serious trouble.  With the season seemingly over at 0-5, the argument to SuckForLuck becomes more realistic each week.

The Dolphins defense which was once thought of to be one of the best 5 in the league has yet to show up this season and the Dolphins offense has regain its anaemic form of a season ago.

Matt Moore did not take very long to prove he does not have what it takes to be considered as a potential starting moving forward. However Moore did look like he will be able to potentially lead this team to the number 1 pick like he did a year ago in Carolina.

According to Armando, Dolphins beat writer, The Dolphins have reached out to Eric Magini to become an informal football consultant, this makes me think twice about Irelands job security.

It is obvious that Tony Sparano will not be here next year as the owner Ross already said he wants a proven superstar head coach.

It’s not easy being a Dolphins fan right now, as the Dolphins are back to 07 form being the joke of the league and we still got 11 games to go, so sit back and enjoy the race to #SuckForLuck.

That all for now, look forward to bringing more insight shortly

What to think of the Dolphins ? Round 2

What the Dolphins have to do during the bye !

Written by Daniel Eliesen on .

Sitting down on a nice comfy chair relaxing and trying to keep my cool as I realize how big of a hole the Dolphins are in at 0-4. That being said it is the bye week, time to regroup and reenergize. There is a lot of work to be done during this bye week so I decide to make a list and maybe help out the Dolphins coaching staff.

Things the Dolphins need to do during the bye week:

1) Figure out how to use Reggie Bush

Let’s face it the Dolphins are 0-4 and many fans are dejected, if the Dolphins aren’t going to be winning games at least they can try and be more entertaining and flashy.  While the Saints signed a lightning bolt in a bottle named Darren Sproles the Dolphins are left with their leftovers Reggie Bush.

bush

I am not going to point the blame on Reggie because although he hasn’t been that affected he has hardly been used and he has definitely not been put in the right situations that feature his strengths.

Come on Daboll; figure out a way to use this guy better.

2) Teach the linebackers to cover

Mike Nolan led this team to the 6th best defense in the NFL last year and for some reason they have fallen off the deep end this year. One of the biggest faults in Miami for years now has been the lack of ability to cover opposing teams TE’s. I don’t care what it takes but defensive guru Nolan and new linebackers coach Brain Cox needs to teach  these linebackers how to improve their coverage skills.

3) Go to church or synagogue or wherever it is you go, but start praying for a miracle

For the Jews out there celebrating the Holidays…Shana Tova and meaningful fast...That includes you Igor and Sage!

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

SUCK FOR LUCK !!

It's official Chad Henne is out for the season !

Written by Daniel Eliesen on .

henne

It’s now official according to NFL.com reporter Jeff Ireland; Chad Henne will miss the remainder of the NFL season to have shoulder surgey.

Just like Chad Pennington, at the hand of the San Diego Chargers defense Chad Henne has suffered a season ending injury. Henne’s last game as a Dolphins starting QB like Pennington might have been against the Chargers.

The Dolphins have already started their search for a backup but have come up short so far.

I defiantly feel for Chad who tried to battle back this year and make a name for himself. This will be tough on Chad as he tried very hard this offseason to build his leadership skills and prove the haters wrong. With this injury, the Dolphins probably move at the top of the list for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.
